PROFESSOR DAVID PARKINSON: “Walking Perth’s Past: Memory and Place in a Seventeenth-Century Burgh”. 14 November 2023. Coffee from 10.30 am, talk at 11.00 am.
We are very fortunate this semester to have been hosting Professor David Parkinson, from the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon, who is an expert on Scottish literature between 1450 and 1650. David has kindly agreed to give us a talk on “Walking Perth’s Past: Memory and Place in a Seventeenth-Century Burgh” – describing a fascinating project which he is directing on the history of Perth, and which is part-funded by the Strathmartine Trust.
