The Strathmartine Centre in St Andrews is an independent study centre equipped with library, study rooms and meeting rooms which are intended primarily for independent researchers, people with historical interests and visiting scholars.

The Centre also has a fully equipped kitchen and common room, where Centre members can meet over a tea or coffee, and a small walled garden.

The social and library facilities of the Centre are open for use by those who have registered and who pay a small fee, currently £40 per annum. Members also receive invitations to our regular seminar series.

Study rooms (both single and shared) can be provided, depending on availability, for a fee of £10 per month (which includes shared costs for the kitchen supplies of tea, coffee and biscuits!)

The Centre also works closely with the University of St Andrews, making its facilities available for postgraduate students with research interests relevant to its activities.

Residential facilities are also available for visitors who wish to spend a period of research time in St Andrews.
