The Strathmartine Trust is sad to have to announce that after a short illness Dr Robert N. Smart – Bob – passed away on 21 July 2019. Bob was a much liked and respected member of the Strathmartine community. A close colleague and friend of Ronald Cant, it was fitting that Bob was one of the founding Trustees of the Strathmartine Tust, and served as its chairman from 2005 until 2013. Thereafter, he continued to be a regular visitor to the Strathmartine Centre, both as an attendee at the monthly seminars, and as the Centre’s librarian. He will be sorely missed, and our warm condolences are offered to his wife, Veronica, and the family.
